Closure of Dene Valley Eldon Lane Branch of Jubilee Medical Group
We applied to the North East and Cumbria ICB to request the permanent closure of our Eldon Branch Site which has been closed since March 2020. We have been struggling for some time. We have explored different options to be able to keep the site open. The Eldon premises are limited by its location, age, and size of the building for us to renovate and the surgery has remained closed since Covid.
The engagement period ran from 19/5/25 to 14/7/25. We sent out letters to all 406 patients that live in the Eldon area. We received 10 responses.
We held a drop in session on the 16th of June which was advertised on the letter, TV’s in both surgeries and on the practice website. No patients attended this drop in session.
The closure has been granted by North East and Cumbria ICB and will officially close on 14/12/2025.
All services are now offered from the main site at Newton Aycliffe or our branch site at Shildon.
