The urgent care Centre is staffed by local GPs and Nurses experienced in emergency care. It is conveniently placed next to the Casualty Department in Bishop Auckland General Hospital. Please contact the urgent Care centre by phone to arrange an appointment time
Out of hours is between 6pm and 8am each night and at weekends as well as bank holidays.

When the practice is closed you can call
NHS Direct (0845 46 47 48) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains, acute shortness of breath, heart attack or stroke constitute an emergency.
