Jubilee Medical Group
The doctors and staff at Jubilee Medical Group are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
Jubilee Medical Group consists of a main site at Cobblers Hall, Newton Aycliffe and two branch sites at Burke Street, Shildon as well as Spencer Street in Eldon. The same clinical staff and services are available at all three sites.
In addition to everything you need to know about the practice you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side.
Please view our appointments page for a full explanation of how our appointment system works, including how to arrange telephone consultations and home visits.
Weekend appointments are now available at Cobblers Hall Surgery until the end of June 2014 (this may be extended), please speak to reception staff for further details.
Flu vaccination by injection, commonly known as the "flu jab" is available every year on the NHS to protect adults (and some children) at risk of flu and its complications.
Flu can be unpleasant, but if you are otherwise healthy it will usually clear up on its own within a week.
However, flu can be more severe in certain people, such as:
- anyone over the age of 65
- pregnant women
- children and adults with an underlying health condition (particularly long-term heart or respiratory disease)
- children and adults with weakened immune systems
Anyone in these risk groups is more likely to develop potentially serious complications of flu, such as pneumonia (a lung infection), so it's recommended that they have a flu vaccine every year to protect them.
Find out more about who should have the flu jab.
At present we have 2 Saturday morning clinics available, please speak to reception staff to arrange an appointment:
Saturday 27/9/14 - 8.30am till 11.30am
Saturday 4/10/14 - 8.30am till 11.30am
